We’ve covered a few deals on the RTX 5070 from various manufacturers in recent days, but today we’ve spotted its big brother, the RTX 5080, up for almost 20% off.
The PNY 5080 is down to $1,219.99 at Amazon, which means you’re saving over $200 on a GPU our very own James Archer dubbed “the new 4K graphics card to go for”.
5080 reaches its lowest price so far
The discount is available right now on a new GPU, and it includes RGB lighting if you’re into that sort of thing. Perhaps most importantly, it offers a three-fan design and stays quiet even when you’re playing more demanding games that make use of features like Multi-Frame Generation (more on that shortly).
Now that the initial rush is over, prices have settled down on 50-series GPUs. They’re still not what you’d call cheap, but at least people aren’t falling over themselves to pay crazy markups on them.
This could end up being the start of a spate of discounted cards, but even if it’s not, it’s well worth a look if you’re looking to upgrade from an older model.
The Blackwell series’ big new party trick is its DLSS 4, which adds Multi-Frame Generation to use AI frames for a smoother experience. It’s not a silver bullet solution, but it’s undeniably impressive.
