Beware… STEVE MISHIMA
It seems that, in an effort to duck those in the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate community who would have him banned from tournaments, Minecraft guest character Steve has put on a new Tekken themed disguise.
Jokes aside, yet another ridiculously cool mod has dropped for Smash Ultimate as creator Silent Secondary shared today on Twitter that he’d finished “Steve Mishima,” a Kazuya skin for Steve. Not only is there an option to reflect Kazuya’s standard look, but also his alternate formal attire costume.
Both Steve and Kazuya were among the final DLC entrants that made it to Smash Ultimate’s nearly 90 character roster, and both have resonated quite powerfully with the Smash Ultimate community.
Silent Secondary includes a handful of screen shots for us to look at to get an idea of what we’re in for.
This includes Character Select and Victory screen poses, but also plenty of in game shots. Our favorite has to be the final image, which recalls Kazuya’s famous mountain toss moment… only this time it’s Steve chucking a defeated Ganondorf to his demise.
That said, there are some other awesome snaps such as the one in which Steve Mishima hoists his foe above his head by the throat. The sheer silliness and nonthreatening nature of Steve’s face works so well here.
“In the year 20MC only one character reigns supreme in Ultimate’s Meta,” Silent writes in the mod’s description area, “Steve Mishima, the block fist of darkness makes all cower before him.”
Check out the gallery below for a showcase of Steve Mishima. The images feature the character in both available costumes across various screens.
