Please note that players on DraftKings and FanDuel have multi-position eligibility and may not always match their position between each other. In this article, we will be breaking down some of our favorite plays on the slate at their positions. Remember to keep your eye on the news as the day progresses, as NBA news frequently changes the slate.
Point Guard
Jalen Brunson ($5,300 DK, $5,800 FD)
| PLAYER | TEAM | GP | W | L | MIN | PTS | TOUCHES | REB CHANCES | POTENTIAL AST |
| Jalen Brunson | DAL | 23 | 12 | 11 | 29.1 | 14.3 | 62.9 | 7.2 | 10.3 |
The Mavericks will be without Luka Donic tonight due to an ankle injury. In 366 minutes with Doncic off the floor this season, Brunson averages 1.07 fantasy points per minute. The Thunder are currently ranked 20th in Defensive Rating, dead last in Offensive Rating, and are playing at the 12th fastest pace in the league.
Cam Thomas ($3,500 DK, $3,900 FD)
| PLAYER | TEAM | GP | W | L | MIN | PTS | TOUCHES | REB CHANCES | POTENTIAL AST |
| Cam Thomas | BKN | 18 | 10 | 8 | 12.2 | 4.8 | 14.9 | 2.4 | 1.1 |
Thomas has gotten some run lately due to the Nets resting some of their key players, and tonight should be no different with James Harden out. Over the last two games, Thomas has averaged 14.5 points on 5 for 12 shooting across 28.5 minutes played with an 18.25% usage rate.
Shooting Guard
Brandon Ingram ($9,000 DK, $8,600 FD)
| PLAYER | TEAM | GP | W | L | MIN | PTS | TOUCHES | REB CHANCES | POTENTIAL AST |
| Brandon Ingram | NOP | 20 | 7 | 13 | 35.1 | 22.6 | 65.1 | 9.8 | 9.4 |
Ingram has played much better as of late, and the Pelicans have managed to go 5-4 in their last nine games. Over that span, Ingram has averaged 24.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 1.5 stocks. They’ll need him to show up again tonight to get past the Spurs on the road in San Antonio.
Small Forward
Kevin Durant ($11,000 DK, $10,800 FD)
| PLAYER | TEAM | GP | W | L | MIN | PTS | TOUCHES | REB CHANCES | POTENTIAL AST |
| Kevin Durant | BKN | 23 | 16 | 7 | 36.2 | 28.4 | 68.1 | 11.3 | 9.7 |
As mentioned previously, Harden is out for rest tonight, leaving Durant as the lone star for the Nets. In 183 minutes with Harden off the floor this season, Durant averages 1.63 fantasy points per minute. The Pistons are ranked 22nd in Defensive Rating and are ranked dead last in fantasy points allowed to the SF position. Bruce Brown Jr. and Patty Mills should also be in consideration from the Nets due to Harden’s absence.
Power Forward
Kristaps Porzingis ($8,000 DK, $8,500 FD)
| PLAYER | TEAM | GP | W | L | MIN | PTS | TOUCHES | REB CHANCES | POTENTIAL AST |
| Evan Mobley | CLE | 22 | 14 | 8 | 33.8 | 14 | 58.2 | 14.7 | 5.1 |
The Thunder are currently ranked 17th in fantasy points allowed to the power forward position, and in 209 minutes with Luka off the floor, Porzingis is averaging 1.36 fantasy points per minute. This is shaping up to be a good spot for Porzingis, but he’s been inconsistent lately.
Center
Karl-Anthony Towns ($10,000 DK, $9,500 FD)
| PLAYER | TEAM | GP | W | L | MIN | PTS | TOUCHES | REB CHANCES | POTENTIAL AST |
| Karl-Anthony Towns | MIN | 24 | 11 | 13 | 34.6 | 24.2 | 66 | 17.1 | 6.8 |
Towns have only exceeded salary expectations twice out of his last 13 games, but it’s hard to argue with his ceiling in this spot. I’m expecting him to be around the 10th most popular center option tonight, making him an intriguing tournament play at the least. The Blazers currently rank 24th in fantasy points allowed to the center position. D’Angelo Russell is presently probable to play tonight, but it’s worth monitoring this situation until tip-off.
