Codaxe Fortnite isn’t a weapon you can normally get your hands on in game, but a bug gave it an unfair advantage. The weapon has since been pulled from the game.

The Codaxe is a harvesting tool from the Crypto Collective set, first released late last February. Normally, cosmetics don’t add any competitive advantage to the game, but a bug made this particular axe do more damage than intended.

A normal harvesting tool in Fortnite should only do 20 damage to an enemy player, but the bug made the Codaxe do 56 for a body hit and 85 for a “headshot”. For comparison, the new Kingsman melee weapon does only 50 damage for a hit

The Codaxe also had increased damage against structures, doing 80 instead of 75.

Epic Games have since pulled the Codaxe from play while this gets fixed. This bug comes shortly after grenades were removed after a game breaking bug was found that let you throw multiples at once.
