Animal Crossing is the game that grants all of your wishes. New Horizons offers tranquilly, island life, regular in-person contact with friends, and house ownership, to name a few of the benefits. And now, the most recent upgrade has ticked off another another goal: building a powerful gaming PC.
The update has only been out for a few days, so it’s hard to get a good look at all the different variations of gaming PCs, but a few easter eggs can be spotted. One of the first everyone noticed was the knock-off version of Discord on the left monitor. Well, we say knock off, but it straight up just looks like the actual Discord, with little to no changes.
We already knew a gaming PC was coming to Animal Crossing in the update, but we all underestimated just how perfect it would be. But not only is it impressive from a technical standpoint – sporting light-up keyboards and four monitors – it’s also full of gaming references.
The pink variation also features an unmistakable Fortnite reference on its main monitor, albeit with water guns rather than actual guns. Other games featured in the different forms include Guitar Hero, Splatoon, and possibly No Man’s Sky, although the latter does just looks like a generic sci-fi game, taking up all the monitors. Aside from that, some kind of visual novel can be found on a few variations of the gaming desk, but it isn’t quite clear which one is getting a shout out, if any are in particular.
This isn’t the only new feature that’s generating buzz in the Animal Crossing community. As we reported earlier today, the DLC includes the ability to customize your villagers’ homes like never before, both interior and exterior. That’s right – give them all gaming PCs if you want, the power is yours. Fans had been requesting this feature for some time, since a villager’s home exterior could often clash with the island’s overall aesthetic.
