Rocket League goes through regular updates, and with update 2.06 coming out in the near future, we have all the information you need to know.
Patch Notes are crucial for Rocket League, and without them, the game would definitely lose a lot of its fans.
Players are currently loving Season 4, and they cannot wait to see what season 5 will have to offer in the near future.
This upcoming update will have bug fixes and possible new changes to game modes within Rocket League.

Release Date
We typically see updates for Rocket League happen every couple of weeks, and right now, a specific release date for Rocket League Update 2.06, but it should go live around Wednesday 20th October 2021.
Patch Notes
Like a lot of other games, the developers for Rocket League (Psyonix), do not release their patch notes for the new update until it goes live. Therefore we have to wait a couple of weeks until we find them out.
As well as bug fixes and general updates, another good feature Rocket League have in their patch notes is known issues. This is them telling the community what bugs they know about, but have not been able to fix yet. Awareness is key, so at least players know they are looking to rectify the issues.
Although Patch 2.05 didn’t bring about new content, Patch 2.04 saw the car football game collaborate with the NFL and they were able to bring in tonnes of skins for cars as players could decorate the car in the style of their favourite American Football team.
We do not know if something like this would come in the upcoming patch, but hopefully it does as the collaboration with NFL went down amazingly with the gaming community.
