Fiend (FND) v.s. FaZe Clan (FAZE) (1:00 PM EST) (-413 FAZE)

Both teams enter this match on two-game win streaks and win-rates on the higher end with FAZE having the slight edge with a 66.7% win-rate and FND having 60.5%. Broky of FAZE has been the most relied on slayer lately and has the highest K/D out of both sides with a 1.23 and may end up continuing to be a focal point to his team’s success after having a +15 kill-death differential combined in FAZE’s last two wins. No one else on FND is as efficient at the moment but the closest is h4rn with a 1.13 who has had a +22 kill-death differential during his team’s winning streak. However, h4rn has a less accurate shot than broky (29.7% headshot rate versus broky’s 32.6%) which may end up giving broky the upper hand if they end up dueling in the majority of gunfights. Regardless this may end up being a close match and FND has the slightly higher team overall K/D of 1.02 versus FAZE’s 1.00 so FND can’t be taken for granted.

Ninjas In Pyjamas (NIP) v.s. DBL Poney (DBLP) (-260 NIP)

NIP have been on a dominant run so far (seven-game win streak) and now face a team trying to bounce back from a two-game losing streak in DBLP. The strongest slayer and main sniper/anchor of the team in device is more time than not causing havoc for other teams especially when the opposing sniper is at a disadvantage and that may end up being the case again today. Afro of DBLP averages less damage per round as of late with a 72.3 compared to device’s 78. Therefore, device may cause immediate impact and create easier opportunities for the rest of his teammates. The fact that afro has been the most efficient slayer for DBLP lately also may give them a crucial hit if device ends up having his way. Another potentially close match should occur though with NIP having two players averaging at/or above 80 damage per round (device being one of them) and DBLP also having at least two players averaging at/or above 80 damage per round in body/afro. That being said if device somehow gets slowed down there could be an opportunity here for DBLP to pull off an upset.

Mouzesports (MOUZ) v.s. G2 Esports (G2) (2:00 PM EST) (-133 G2)

Win-rates are extremely close in this matchup with G2 having the slight edge (47.1% versus MOUZ’s 46.7%). These teams are quite familiar with each other as well with G2 having won three out of the five games total these teams played this year. To G2’s benefit though NiKo has had a +16 kill-death differential across those games and is usually the one to anchor his team and has a chance to build on that success after coming off a game as the second most efficient slayer behind huNter-. The fact that NiKo also has a 1.25 K/D lately may lead to him contributing for his G2 squad as well. On the other hand, another player who is extremely close to that caliber is ropz of MOUZ who was has a 1.24 K/D as of late so their duels may end up getting hectic on maps. Ropz has also had a +36 kill-death differential across the five games these teams played which still wasn’t enough for his team to win the series overall which says a that his team may need a little more from everyone else to get over that hump. There’s a possibility that happens as well with MOUZ having a 1.02 team overall K/D edge over G2’s 1.01 but it should come down to the wire and can go either way as shown by the close series of games these teams have had already so far.

Cophenhagen Flames (CPHF) v.s. Berlin International Gaming (BIG) (2:00 PM EST) (-138 BIG)

CPHF have been on a tear and moving their way up (while being on a current five-game winning streak) and now face a BIG team trying to build on their two-game winning streak. TabseN has been a crucial part of BIG’s win streak with a +15 kill-death differential across the two games his team won with high damage per round lately (84.4), but will have to deal with roeJ of CPHF who has also maintained high damage per round and slightly more than tabseN’s at 86.5. Unfortunately, the last time BIG lost tabseN didn’t perform as well and there’s a chance that can happen today if he ends up getting slowed down. Everyone else on BIG has been averaging below 70 damage per round lately which puts even more pressure on tabseN to do well, while only one player on CPHF has dealt below 70 damage per round over the past couple months. Therefore, gunfights would have to be won collaborative more times than not for BIG and if tabseN regresses there shouldn’t be surprise if BIG gets dominated this game.
