Core Plays

Brittney Sykes- DK: $7,600,  FD: $6,200

Sykes is my top guard on this slate when you factor in salary as she has been uber consistent since the WNBA’s return. Sykes has played at least 25 minutes in each of the Sparks six games and has produced at least 24 fantasy points in each of the Sparks six games. One of those six games was against the Sun who the Sparks play again tonight. Sykes also could be in line for more usage and even more minutes than she normally plays today as Chiney Ogwumike has already been ruled out for tonight’s contest and there is a good chance that Kristi Toliver also misses tonight’s contest as well.

Bella Alarie – DK: $6,100,  FD: $4,400

Alarie’s salary is starting to creep up but she is still a great value on both sites. Alarie has started each of the four games for the Wings since the break and has played at least 20 minutes in three straight games. In those four games, the second-year player is averaging 5.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.3 steals+blocks. Alarie has at least 15 fantasy points in three of those four games and has produced at least that amount in four of her past five games. One of those three games where she had at least 15 fantasy points came against the same Mystics team that she faces today. Once again I do like Alarie better on FanDuel where they have her listed as a guard for some odd reason.

Theresa Plaisance- DK: $6,500,  FD: $4,900

We know that Tina Charles is still out for the Mystics tonight and we also know that even if Elena Delle Donne plays that she is not 100% after having to leave the Mystics last game earlier in what was just her second game back since 2019. With both of those players banged up that is going to leave Plaisance to play minutes in the low to mid-20s. Whenever Plaisance has gotten playing time this season she has tended to produce as she is averaging 0.95 fantasy points per minute this season. Plaisance also had a huge game in the Mystics last game which is the exact same situation she is in tonight as the match-up is the same and the injury situation is the same. In that game, she went for 13 points, five rebounds, and two steals on her way to 22.5 fantasy points.
