Minecraft, being the positively gargantuan game that it is, sits on a treasure horde of secrets, little-known facts, and behind-the-scenes details that most Minecraft players would never know. “The Secrets of Minecraft” is a new YouTube series from Mojang Studios that aims to shed light on some of these secrets, and airs a new episode every single month. Episode 1 of “The Secrets of Minecraft” went over some features that have been cut or changed in the past, and now Episode 2 is here to talk about Minecraft’s updates.
Minecraft has had countless content updates through its long life, which have evolved the game with new features and changes. However, the final products are often not what they originally were, with Mojang Studios making changes, cuts, and even delaying the updates. Dolphins, from The Update Aquatic, for example, were nearly deadly hostile mobs instead of mischievous thieves. The Nether Update was actually planned for before The Update Aquatic, but was delayed behind the scenes.
