We move into Week 6 in the LEC with what has really become some tighter standings after the last week than we had prior to the start of week five. Fnatic and Rogue pace the top at 8-3, while Mad Lions and Misfits sit at 7-4. G2 holds onto the five seed right now at 6-5, but then under that we have Astralis and Team Vitality at 5-6 and don’t look now but Excel has played better as of late with some roster changes and they sit at 4-7. For this Friday slate we get a lot of big favorites as Mad Lions is a -375 favorite over SK Gaming. Rogue is a -352 favorite over Schalke04, Fnatic -267 against Astralis, and Misfits is -217 against XL. As you can figure, those four matches all seem to lean pretty heavily one way, with the exception to Fnatic and Astralis. This match back in week three was pretty close, with Fnatic winning in 35 minutes with a 15-11 kill advantage. I still lean the Fnatic side as they are playing really well right now, but Astralis has the ability to potentially shake up this slate. That being said, three Fnatic starters in Upset, Nisqy, and Bwipo have a KDA over 4.4 currently.

However, my team to build around this week is Rogue against Schalke 04. These two teams met back in week three with Rogue winning easily with a 14k gold advantage and 19-4 kill count. Schalke last week took losses to SK Gaming (worst record in the league) and then Mad Lions. As mentioned last week, Schalke’s LEC spot was sold, so this will be their last split of competition. The future of these players kinda hang in limbo and I don’t want to say that that is wearing on them, but their recent performances have looked pretty bad. When you get embarrassed by the last-place team in SK, something isn’t right. All five Schalke starters rank in the bottom-20 of the league in total KDA, while Hans Sama and Inspired rank fifth and sixth. This isn’t just me saying grab the biggest favorite and run, it is also me taking advantage of some pricing softness. Despite being the second-largest favorite on the slate, Odoamne is the fourth-priced TOP, Inspired the fourth-priced JNG, and Hans Sama the fourth-priced ADC. If we remove the loss to G2 last week, Hans Sama has scored over 29 fantasy points in six of his last eight matches. Rogue should roll here and we will have the salary to be creative with the rest of our team.

As a note, I am adding Team Vitality to my cheat sheet below as I think they are in the best-upset spot. G2 has been very inconsistent, while Vitality the same could be said about Vitality, they did defeat G2 back in week three with a 13-1 kill count. This is a big match with playoff implications.
