DraftKings & FanDuel League of Legends (LoL) Cheat Sheet – LPL/LCK – July 11, 2021 – FantasyCruncher.com DFS Articles & Insights – fantasycruncher.com

Last night went almost as planned, as LNG was upset in three games by Ultra Prime in what marks our largest upset of the year in the LPL.

We have another five-game slate today that starts with BLG and Rogue Warriors. BLG sits at 4-4, while RW is just 2-6 and 5-13 inside their games. BLG is carried pretty hard by their MID/BOT duo of Zeka and Aiming, as both currently sport a KDA of around 4.5 per game with Zeka averaging 4.43 kills per game. When it comes to CS and gold, we don’t have a standout player here, but Aiming ranks pretty high for gold per minute. For RW, there isn’t a ton of positive to focus on, as every starter is averaging over 2.5-3 deaths per game. We have seen a lot of upsets recently, but BLG is fresh off of a big win over FPX, so I look for them to carry that momentum here. Aiming has four straight matches of 89 fantasy points or higher.

The other two matches in the LPL are both toss-ups as we have TES against Suning and JDG against Team WE. TES opens as a -180 favorite, while JDG is a -145 favorite here. This is another game that I think is determined mid and bot lane, as Knight v Angel and Elk v Loken matchup incredibly well on paper. All carries from all four of these teams rank highly in several stats, including KDA, kills, gold, and CS. All of these teams also have at least four wins on the split. TES is in great form right now, as they are riding a four-game winning streak that includes wins over EDG and RNG. Suning themselves are on a two-game winning streak with wins over OMG and RNG. The only thing holding me back from a ton of TES exposure here is that Knight and JackeyLove are the most expensive MID/ADC combo on the slate. For this reason, we need to get a little bit of Suning exposure, as BLG/SN stacks will likely be popular. In the JDG/WE match, we get both teams more towards the middle for pricing. I do lean JDG here as they have played a little tougher of a schedule. I wouldn’t be shocked to see both of these matches head to three games.

In the LCK, we get GenG against DRX and Nongshim vs. T1. DRX finally grabbed their first win of the split against Fredit Brion a few days ago, as the roster changes to DRX look to have paid dividends. Despite the win, it was against a team ranked pretty low and the matchup with GenG is pretty one-sided, at least on paper. GenG is on a two-match losing streak, though those losses were to Damwon and T1. Despite the loss, Ruler still ranks in the top five of almost all statistical categories, with Rascal not too far behind. GenG is a -700 favorite, and the only real reason to use DRX is a deep GPP dart, or you are a firm believer that Taeyoon/Jun bot-lane combo is good enough to carry to a win. I think DRX is improved, and an improved bot lane improves the top and jungle, which is already full of talent in Kingen and Pyosik. Still, GenG is the better team here and should 2-0. As usual, GenG is priced more towards the middle, as the LCK usually is when on slates with the LPL.

Rounding out the LCK is a great game between 6-3 Nongshim and 5-4 T1. These teams met back in week three which featured one of the craziest games I have ever watched – a 70 (!) minute match in which it ended with kills at 15-15 and gold at 120,900 to 120,600. This match really was this close, though NS did protect their base to the fullest. Game two took about half the time as game one, with NS completing the sweep. T1 did make a roster change recently, subbing out Teddy and starting Gumayushi at ADC. This move helped T1 secure a 2-0 sweep against GenG just two days ago. Nongshim is priced way down here despite proving themselves as one of the better teams this split. I think a lot of this is reactionary to how T1 played against GenG, though I do admit T1 looked very good in that match. These teams matched up incredibly well in their first go at it, and I expect much of the same here. It really will come down to if Gumayushi can carry his momentum forward and starting consistently matching the hype that surrounded him as the next big thing for T1. Due to the pricing on NS, we are almost going to be forced into some exposure. Peanut is the one must play if rostering NS, as he has a KDA of 5.38 – which ranks fourth in the LCK for players with more than 10 games. I think T1 could go over-owned on this slate, so I think Nongshim is the sharper play.
