Fnatic sits as the most expensive team on this slate, but you might be curious to know that Team Vitality sits as the second most expensive which feels like a massive over-price. Vitality is a -225 favorite over SK, mostly due to SK being an 0-4 squad right now, but Team Vitality isn’t sitting much better at 1-3. LIDER is a big addition here and has made Team Vitality better, but when we put this into a pricing bubble, SK Gaming holds way more value here priced near the basement. This slate sets up pretty interestingly, with Misfits against Astralis, Mad Lions against Schalke04, and Rogue against G2. The Rogue/G2 match will be the best of the day, with this being a rematch of Spring Playoffs in which Rogue won the series 3-1. Rogue and Misfits played a great match on Friday, with Rogue coming out on top in a 18-16 kill game with Rogue getting a huge team wipe at 33 minutes. Both teams showed their strengths and that they will be forces throughout the split. I think you can’t really go wrong at the top today, with Fnatic having a lot of aggression and kill upside, and Misfits as a clear favorite over Astralis (who also plays one of the more aggressive styles in the LEC). Mad Lions fresh off an upset at the hands of XL are the largest favorites on this slate against Schalke, and while I think Mad does win, Schalke finally put all their pieces together for a win on Friday. I wouldn’t be shocked to see a G2/Rogue team be in the optimal, as these games have either went 40 minutes or have been decided in the first 15. With the skill level, it’s too hard to peg either one as the favorite and their pricing is mid-tier for the slate. If you are punting with a SK three-stack, I have no issues just targeting Fnatic again today after their absolutely dominating performance over Vitality on Friday. As we get a little deeper into the split, it is becoming more apparent that Astralis is a much improved team from Spring.
