The excitement is palpable, and fans are eager for every scrap of information they can get as the appointed hour approaches.

We know that the theme for Season 7 is aliens, and their extraterrestrial impact is felt even now, ahead of launch.

One question remains, though. Just how big will the download size for Fortnite Season 7 be?

Fortnite updates vary in size from season to season, depending on the amount of content contained within and the extent of the changes to the Island (some of which have been rather drastic).

We are yet to receive official confirmation from developer Epic Games on the exact download size of Fortnite Season 7, but we will update this page the moment we do.

What we can do is infer from the size of the Season 6 update, and use that to make an educated guess.

Obviously, the SSD’s of next-generation consoles help with the download size, as you can see from the comparison above.

We do know that Season 7 is bringing new graphical features to the PC version of the game, so expect that to have an impact on the overall update size.

Downtime for the upcoming season should begin between 2-4 am EST/7-9 am BST on June 8, but Epic Games will confirm the time on June 7th.
