Fortnite has a new batch of challenges live in week 13 of this extended season, ahead of Ripley and Xenomorph’s skin launch tonight. I don’t know how many hunters they’re going to keep pulling in here, but it’s truly a never-ending collection of IPs.
But first, challenges, and I decided to do a two for one thing today as both are kind of near each other. First, you need to enter the Zero point. Then, you need to destroy five crystal trees.
Go here to see where to scan a server at Surface Hub. Go here to see where to bathe in a purple pool at Steamy Stacks.
Here’s a map of both. The outer ring is where your most likely to find crystal trees, as they tend to be in the outer portion of the desert, not right by the Zero Point.

I’m just gonna tell you this right now, you’re going to want to land directly into the Zero Point from the battle bus. I’m not sure if you can build up to it or not, but that will be an enormous pain, if so, so you are better just flying over there, and you should be able to reach it from wherever you drop, given its central location. You will be blinded and it will spit you out and you’ll be good to start finding crystal trees.

MORE FOR YOU
Crystal trees are not crystal shards. They are literally crystalized trees, and there are far fewer of them than there are the giant shards, so make sure you’re breaking the right thing. Again, I think you’re best searching around that outer ring, and you can often find clusters of them together. There are a lot, it’s not like there are only 5 on the whole map or anything, so I don’t think you’ll have a hard time with this, if you can avoid getting killed by other players, or they haven’t hacked them all down first.

There is no real theme to the challenges this season other than these two being in the desert, which is why I grouped them up, but the Zero Point is responsible for pretty much everything “happening” this season, and will likely be involved in whatever transformation leads into next season as well, whatever that may be. I know Fortnite has years of developments planned out from here, so we’ll just have to wait and see what comes next now. Until then, go hack some trees and jump in a weird glowy ball for some XP.
