Minecraft players can get the Year of the Ox skin pack for free from the developers as a gift for celebrating Lunar New Year.
With the Lunar New Year arriving a few days from now, a lot of developers around the world have already prepared multiple contents with the Chinese New Year theme to celebrate this worldwide festival along with players. When it comes to Mojang, they will have a brand new Minecraft Lunar New Year 2021 skin pack including nine different skins.
This year’s Lunar New Year is going to be a very special one for Minecraft and Mojang Studios. As shared by the developer recently, when Minecraft first launched back in 2009, the Lunar year’s icon back then was Ox, and since then, this year is the first time that the Lunar year will be recognized by Ox once again. In order to celebrate this special period of the year with Minecraft players, you can get the Minecraft Lunar New Year 2021 skin pack from the Marketplace or the Character Creation section. Minecraft Marketplace
Mojang Studios is now officially a part of Xbox Game Studios and works under the wings of Microsoft. The Swedish team launched a new spin-off from the Minecraft series last year in the dungeon-crawling genre, which received mixed reviews from the media, but seemed to be a good start for the developers for expanding the presence of Minecraft in different genres.
Thanks to the good relationship between Nintendo and Microsoft, Minecraft supports cross-play between Xbox consoles and Switch. On the other hand, Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate added Steve from Minecraft as a new character to the game in 2020.
