Rocket League is a game that can be considered a niche in Spain, since since its departure in 2015 its community has grown little by little but without giving a bombshell like other titles.
Until 2020 the game was paid, and that made things a bit more complicated, but with the move to free to play, content creators have seen their data improve and the game is more alive than ever.
One of these creators is Rodrigo Marin, better known as Rosdri, that in addition to exploding as a Rocket League streamer, he joined Vodafone Giants and since then he has only grown.
« When I found out that Rocket League was going to be free, I sat there thinking how much time I had. Afterwards, I had to go out to see the content I was going to do, I had a lot of adrenaline » he says.
Characteristic for its peculiar stream, with its bot Samantha and all the audiovisual tools that he uses on his channel, Rosdri also stands out for its didactic nature, in addition to teaching how to play Rocket League and climb ranks in a simple way.
One of the best casters in Spain
While building his career as a content creator, Rosdri became known for being one of the best casters or commentators in Spain, being part of the cast of the ESL Masters and also his biggest cast to date: the finals of RLCS of Madrid in 2019.
« I really miss commenting, especially filling stadiums and narrating the world champions, » he tells us. And also, he anticipates that he will return sooner or later. Sometimes he appears on Giants broadcasts, but not as one of the official commentators.
Further, makes self-criticism and affirms that in Spain it takes a long time to resemble the English-speaking community. « English streamers are a long way ahead of us, it takes self-criticism to grow, » he says.
With more than 170,000 followers in TwitchIts growth has been meteoric, with averages of 700-800 monthly subs and peaks of up to 10,000 people on Twitch when Rocket League went free.
Its future is promising, although it does not close doors. « I want to take a step forward as a content creator. I will continue in Rocket League, but I am very creative and I think I can do more. »
