Guild Esports PLC (LON:GILD) said it has signed a third top-ranked professional esports player to its Fortnite team.

The developer of esports teams said it has signed a contract with Anas El-Abd, a Danish gamer currently ranked as the seventh best Fortnite player in Europe, for one year to compete under the Guild banner in all upcoming European and international tournaments with an option to renew for another year.

Anas will join the company’s other leading Fortnite players, Henrik Mclean and Nikolaj Andreas Frøslev, who were signed to the team last year, while Guild’s total roster of active players across all games now totals 11.

“I’m pleased to welcome Anas to Guild’s growing Fortnite roster. Anas has a deserved reputation as one of the scene’s most exciting players and has shown remarkable talent, already establishing himself as a world-class player. Anas has the potential to develop even further and Guild’s incredible staff and resources will help propel him to the top”, Guild executive chairman Carleton Curtis said in a statement.

“With our expanded Fortnite team, Guild is reaching new fans and will enlarge our Fortnite audience. We look forward to building and aggregating our fan communities in one of the most dynamic and popular esports”, he added.
