Free Fire – One Punch Man Collaboration: Free Fire has taken India by storm in the last year and they have now announced their official date for their collaboration with One Punch Man. The leaks that had the fans anticipating what could be the possibilities, have turned out to be true since Free Fire x One Punch Man is officially a thing now.
Free Fire’s social media post read:
Three more days before our One-Punch Man collaboration begins! 🥊
Let’s sound the trumpet to call for battle with the strongest man in history. 📣 And gather your energy for the challenge starting on the 10th January 2021. 🎮#HeroTrial #FreeFire #IndiaKaBattleRoyale #Booyah pic.twitter.com/V7d2Zh872X

The main interface will undergo a special transformation on January 15 to reflect iconic One-Punch Man elements. Players will also have access to two new weapon skins – the Megapunch M1887 and M4A1.

The challenges will start from 10th January 2021. The picture that Free Fire shared talked about ‘The Hero Trial’ and ‘Jan 23’. This has some users to believe that January 23 could be the peak day for the events, and true– players who log in on January 23 will get a free Saitama Loot Box skin!
The suspense still continues as no other details of the crossover have been announced. However, with the events just around the corner, new information has started coming in.
The Free Fire OB25 Advance server had the usage of two emotes that could possibly be a part of this collaboration– Obliteration and I’m Saitama.
“Players will have access to a variety of One-Punch Man fashion items inspired by the series – to enable them to battle in style. These will include Saitama and Genos character costumes, backpack and Gloo Wall skins, as well as an “I’m Saitama” emote!
The Path to Hero web event will offer players even more opportunities to earn cool rewards. Taking place from January 16 to 26, the web event will send players down the hero path filled with both monsters and treasure boxes. Each treasure box will give players tokens that can be exchanged for exciting rewards in the redemption store. Players will need to earn exploration tokens by completing daily missions.” the press release about the event said.
Harold Teo, Free Fire Producer at Garena, had earlier in a press release said:
“We’re excited to welcome one of Japan’s most iconic heroes into the Free Fire universe. We’re always looking to create novel, in-game content infused with influences from across the world and believe that our partnership with One-Punch Man will offer our global community of players even more opportunities to battle in style.”
Garena has been all it can to have big names from across the globe to be associated with the game and back in December, they announced a collaboration with football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. As a result, the Chrono character became a part of the game. This, however, isn’t the first-ever collaboration. They have also collaborated with big Bollywood stars– Hrithik Roshan, DJ Alok, KSHMR and more, giving us some pretty impressive characters.
