Norwell Recreation and GGLeagues will offer programs Rocket League 3 v. 3, Rocket League 1 v. 1, League of Legends 5 v. 5, Overwatch 6 v. 6 and Valorant 5 v. 5.
Advanced, intermediate and beginner divisions are available for all games. The Norwell Recreation Department is a member of the Massachusetts Recreational ESports League. Norwell teams will compete against other Massachusetts teams from communities including the Lexington, Haverhill and Dover Recreation Departments.
The Fall 2020 Session I will start Sept. 12 and all matches are played at 2 p.m. EST. Regular Season is five weeks long ending on Oct. 10 with playoffs for the top four teams in each division Oct. 17.
The registration deadline is Sept. 2. Registration fee is $10. The tournament is for all ages. All registration and payment is through https://ggleagues.com.
Participants must own the game on the required platform, must have an online access pass for their console to play others online and must have Wi-Fi or LAN/ethernet cable internet access.
One teammate must have access to Discord, a communication platform used to communicate with GGLeagues and other teams on game days. This is a free application online and moderated by GGLeagues staff.
Participants should register for one of the three divisions listed below depending on average skill level. Due to the timing of the games, participants are only able to sign up for one game/division per season.
