Two of society’s most popular things right now are the consistently highly-trafficked Fortnite and the Netflix documentary Tiger King. Both surely have different, if sometimes overlapping, audiences and are popular for different reasons. However, given Fortnite‘s frequent crossovers, it seems inevitable that Tiger King content will be coming to Fortnite.
As it stands, nothing has been announced, but there are a few things to consider. First, another highly-trafficked game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, may have just gotten a Tiger King skin in Season 3. One of its multiplayer skins looks suspiciously similar to John Finlay from Tiger King. Finlay was one of Joe Exotic’s husbands and heavily involved in Exotic’s big cat exhibit.
Second, Fortnite has seen a number of crossovers in the past. This includes the recent Deadpool crossover, as well as skins of John Wick, Star Wars content, and Avengers-related DLC. Even content related to the Super Bowl was dropped near the über popular sporting event, as well as a skin of mega streamer Ninja.
It’s only a matter of time until there is some kind of Tiger King content that drops into Fortnite. Whether this involves an assist from big cats, a skin of the vibrantly-dressed Joe Exotic himself, or a flower tiara reminiscent of Carole Baskins, it seems improbable to not get anything related to Tiger King in Fortnite.
But if not Fortnite, then who? Well, although Call of Duty: Modern Warfare tends to take itself a bit more seriously (even on the battle royale front), it seems feasible that it could get confirmed Tiger King content. Dogs could be traded out for big cats as a possible “skin” while Joe Exotic could get proper representation as an avatar in Modern Warfare. Given the allegations regarding Baskin, it’s also possible to see a skin on a soldier of her.
A new tiger resident added to Animal Crossing in representation of Tiger King would be hysterical. Whether their name is Joe, Carole, or John, it would be a surprising move from Nintendo whose Animal Crossing franchise leans on the non-mature side.
Here’s to hoping that Tiger King finds its way into the gaming sphere somehow.
