Minecraft: How To Update A Realm – DualShockers

Minecraft receives new updates on a frequent basis, and players have difficulties updating their Realms at times which can cause trouble in accessing them.

To update the Minecraft Realm to the latest version on PC, players need to follow the steps given below.

  • Firstly, players need to launch the Minecraft Launcher app. Do not start the game, just open the launcher.
  • Head to the installations folder and then click on New Installation.
  • Under New Installation select Latest Release
  • Press the Create button to create this installation and it will download the latest version of Minecraft to your PC.
  • Go back to the Main Menu and start the game.

If you are playing the game on PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch, you need to ensure that your game is updated to the latest version. Once your game is updated, you can simply start the Realm and it will automatically be updated to the latest version. On Xbox, if you don’t get the update, head on to the Microsoft Store and then click on Get Updates under the library tab. You should get the update notification after this if your game is not updated to the latest version.

On PlayStation, highlight Minecraft on the Home Screen and then click on the Options button to bring up the menu. Click on Check for Updates, and if there is a new update available. Lastly, on the Nintendo Switch, players need to highlight the game on the home screen and then open the Options Menu by pressing the Plus key. Under the Software Update tab, click on Via the Internet to look for updates for the game.
