Tryouts set for Cleveland State esports program – CSU Vikings

CLEVELAND STATE ESPORTS HOMEPAGE

CLEVELAND – The brand-new Cleveland State esports program and director P.J. Farrell have announced the tryout dates for the first squad in school history as the Vikings look for interested student-athletes to fill out the program’s Overwatch, Rocket League, Valorant, League of Legends and Super Smash Bros Ultimate teams.

Interested student-athletes who want to try out will need to contact Coach Farrell directly at p.m.farrell23@csuohio.eduor by joining the CSU Discord page, located here.

The tryout schedule is as follows:

– Overwatch: Monday, July 25 from 11 AM – 2 PM

– Rocket League: Monday, July 25 from 11 AM – 2 PM

– Valorant: Tuesday, July 26 from 11 AM – 2 PM

– League of Legends: Wednesday, July 27 from 11 AM – 2 PM

– Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Wednesday, July 27 from 11 AM – 2 PM

The tryouts will be held at the Cavs Legion Lair in Battery Park. The address for the location is: Legion Lair Lit by TCP, 7524 Father Frascati, Cleveland, OH 44102. 

All student-athletes will need to be in-person to try out, unless given permission by Coach Farrell to attend virtually.
