Fall Guys is finally coming to Xbox and Nintendo Switch platforms through a new Free To Play Download format.
Mediatonic originally launched the platforming Battle Royale experience on Steam as a paid package, followed by it becoming a console exclusive for PlayStation, going live as a free PlayStation Plus game.
And now, Fall Guys will become a free download for everyone across new platforms and old, with crossplay support confirmed.

When Is Fall Guys Going To Be Free To Play?
Developers Mediatonic has confirmed that Fall Guys will become a free to play download on Tuesday, June 21, as part of a massive expansion. Not only will Fall Guys be available to play at no extra charge, but it will also come with full crossplay support, meaning you can join parties with friends across consoles and PC.
It’s been confirmed that whether you’re on PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, the Epic Games Store or a mix of all of the above, you’ll be able to play Fall Guys for free —with cross-play, cross-platform parties and cross-progression fully supported with the use of your Epic Games Account. The account requirement will be the only drawback, and is something already in place for games like Rocket League.
The big news is that Fall Guys will not be sold on Steam past June 21, new players will no longer be able to download Fall Guys on Steam, and if you’re new to Fall Guys and would like to play on PC, you will need to visit the Epic Games Store and download the launcher.
Mediatonic also plans to launch a new version of the game native for the PS5, meaning that gamers on that platform can download a version that boasts faster load times and other performance upgrades. Anf for those who bought the original game, there will be a new package going live that will include a nickname, nameplate, the Regal costume, the Veggie Dog costume, the Feisty Dwarf costume – and a Season Pass for Season 1.
A message explaining this month’s big launch plans adds: “Fall Guys Is Going Free On June 21, Launching On Playstation, Nintendo Switch, Xbox And The Epic Games Store! Get ready to step into a giant arena to compete in the Free for All. Alongside new levels, costumes and ever-evolving gameplay, cross-platform play and cross-progression means new challengers, new friends and new squadmates. Keep a lookout for a whole host of details as we get closer to June 21.”
