The Fortnite Dragun Rune Lance harvesting tool has been disabled because it gave players an unfair advantage due to a glitch.
The Dragon Rune Lance harvesting tool is one of the many rewards players can unlock in the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 Battle Pass. But unfortunately, players realized that it contained a bug that would give its users an unfair advantage.
So, for the time being Epic Games has temporarily disabled the use of the Dragon Rune Lance in Fortnite.

When Will the Dragon Rune Lance Be Added Back to Fortnite?
The Dragun Rune Lance was removed from Fortnite due to it removing all footstep audio while it was equipped.
This would allow players to sneak up on each other undetected, which was incredibly frustrating for others. The Dragon Rune Lance is also only available through the paid Battle Pass, so many players called it pay-to-win.
Thankfully, Epic Games quickly removed the Dragon Rune Lance harvesting tool from Fortnite for the time being.

Epic Games has not yet stated how long they plan to disable the Dragon Rune Lance. It could be a few days or more.
It all depends on how long it takes for them to come out with a hotfix for the harvesting tool. On past occasions, we’ve seen fixes for a glitch come in less than a week. So it shouldn’t be too long before the Dragon Rune Lance is back in your inventory!
