The Core Four: MLB DFS Picks For DraftKings & FanDuel – June 13, 2022 – FantasyCruncher.com DFS Articles & Insights – fantasycruncher.com

In this article, we cover four core plays for FanDuel & DraftKings daily fantasy baseball contests. These players are the ones we are going to have strong GPP exposure to for the main slate.

Let’s jump right into today’s article.

As a reminder, we focus primarily on lower-owned candidates for GPP tournament leverage. If you are looking for cash game plays, check out all the other great articles we post on FantasyCruncher daily, like our Cheat Sheets, Daily Dinger & much more.

Top Pitcher

Aaron Nola

I’m not trying to reinvent the wheel here on what I think is a pretty straight forward slate (at least as much as you can say that for MLB DFS).  Nola has been remarkably consistent all season long.  He comes into this one with 10.25 K/9 to go along with 1.21 BB/9, and he has pitched better than his 3.50 ERA indicates with a xERA of 2.67 and a xFIP of 2.93.  Going up against a Miami line-up that doesn’t strike fear in too many – I love the spot for him tonight.  He should be able to pitch deep into the game and is a high floor/ceiling option on the mound for Monday night’s slate.

Stud Hitter

Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

I love the spot for the Jays tonight in a plus match-up against Kyle Bradish (more on that below).  Vladdy has had a disappointing season for his standards, but has shown signs of life along with the entire Jays line-up over the past couple of weeks.  He comes into this one with multi-hit games in two of the past three over the weekend in Detroit, and while his average has struggled over the past 20 games, he does have 7 long-balls over that stretch.  I like his chances of leaving the yard tonight – and is my favorite bat on the board if you can fit him into builds…even though I do think he’ll be a popular choice.  I think this is a case of some good chalk to eat.

Value Hitter

Nolan Gorman

Gorman comes into this one swinging a good bat, and checking in at an affordable price against a hittable arm in Mitch Keller – I like the spot for him tonight.  He’s been a little quiet of late after a hot start to his MLB career – but in a plus match-up tonight I like the value angle for him as a source of salary relief for a mid-priced bat in a plus match-up.

Top Stack

Toronto Blue Jays

The Jays come into this one swinging it as good as any team in baseball not named the Yankees, and in a plus match-up against Kyle Bradish tonight – I love the spot for them.  In a small sample, Bradish has had extreme reverse splits with RHB owning a .487 wOBA against him – and as we all know, the Jays line-up is littered with quality RH sticks.  As a team, Toronto comes into this one with a .403 wOBA over the past two weeks, and I love the spot for them at home against a hittable arm tonight.  Keep an eye on the line-up as it is announced for them to see if C Gabriel Moreno is in the line-up.  With plenty of expensive bats, if he does get the call tonight he could be an excellent source of salary relief for a team that is expensive to stack.
