As always, the teaser trailer for the new League of Legends’ champion has given us so little and so much at the same time. In this 30 second clip, we can see the new champion along side the Prophet of the Void, Malzahar, in the same video.
Malzahar has always believed the newly emergent Void to be the path to Runeterra’s salvation, and it would seem his ‘empress’ believes the same to be true. With the two characters intertwined in the same video, perhaps more lore will spin from the Void as these two characters come together. While nothing is official, there have been enough previous rumors to assume that this new character could be no other than Bel’Veth. This could be Riot Games’ way of telling players that more characters are soon to escape from the Void as well.
Still, to find out more official details about the new empress, players will have to wait until May 20, 2022 12:00PM PT, as suggested by League of Legends’ YouTube post.
