Minecraft Servers Down May 20
Mojang has confirmed that issues have led to Minecraft servers going down tonight, affecting many players. The news was shared on the official Mojang support pages, without any ETA on when normal service might resume. And gamers have been sharing their own experiences on social media, confirming issues with logging into accounts and playing on Java Edition.
The latest update from Mojang adds this information: “We are experiencing issues that are impacting Java Realms and the Launcher. We’ll let you know when this is resolved. Thanks for your patience.”
As of right now, there is no word on when servers will be back online, or what has caused tonight’s outage on the Java Edition of the game. However, it should be noted that while there are thousands of reports online covering today’s outage, that is still a very small number of players. This means that there are still ways of accessing the game for the majority of players tonight. And more news is expected to be shared by the Mojang team when normal service has resumed, or if more work needs to be done on live servers during May 20.
