Atomic is EarlyGame’s Rocket League Player of the Month for March 2022. Why? Because he carried his team to a Winter Major victory!

The Rocket League Winter Major – with all the action that took place including insane plays and finally a live audience – is (sadly) over and at this point, we just have to say: congratulations to G2 Esports, who beat 14 other teams in sunny Los Angeles.
To determine, who is our Rocket League Player of the Month, a huge victory like this logically plays an important role. Sure, we could have chosen Finlay “rise.” Ferguson from Team Queso was the MVP of the Winter Major for many fans and even set a new goal scoring record. In the end, however, our Rocket League Player of the Month for March 2022 is Atomic from G2 Esports – the official MVP of the Grand Finals!

Who Is Atomic?
Atomic – aka “Massimo Franceschi” in real life – is a US-born Rocket League player who has been competing for G2 Esports since January 2022. The current 18-year-old has been playing since 2016 and over the past 6 years, he has earned a staggering $196,650 in total winnings. Not too bad, honestly, it’s a LOT more than I made when I was his age…
Another little fun fact about Atomic: In 2017, he was banned by Psyonix from all sponsored tournaments and seasons for two years, because he illegally subbed in the RLCS Season 4 play-ins as an unregistered and underage player. Since 2019, he is eligible to play again and his current achievements are more than impressive.
Atomic started his professional Rocket League career at Ghost Gaming. After an extremely short stay at Vanguard, he went to Team Envy before finally switching to G2 Esports earlier this year. Since his most recent transfer, he was able to win the RLCS Winter: NA Regional Event 2 and now also the Winter Major. With the current form of G2 Esports, further successes in 2022 are inevitable.

Why Is Atomic Our Player Of The Month?
Since Atomic joined G2 Esports back in January 2022, things have been running smoothly and at the RLCS Winter Split Major, he was able to show that he is there when it really counts – even on the big stage. There’s a pretty good reason he was voted MVP of the Grand Finals by Rocket League – Atomic surely took another look at our Rocket League tips & tricks before the game and learned how to actually do the Flip Reset… that just has to be it.
Jokes aside, you won’t become a Rocket League esports player just by watching our videos and reading our articles – nevertheless, we are always happy to help you, be it with Hitboxes, the confusing ranking system in Rocket League or simply the daily Item Shop. What more could you want?
