Players (PLY) v.s. Team Liquid (TL) (1:30 PM EST) (-248 PLY)
The two teams tied for second at 3-1 in the group now face off and they’re familiar with each other but with previous lineups. PLY was able to defeat TL the last time these teams met in a close series 2-1. The problem for TL is that the two players that dominated in that series (sh1ro primarily with a +27 kill-death differential) and Hobbit have been relied on most for PLY so far. However, TL does have a dominant sniper in oSee that has been their most efficient as well (1.41 K/D) so he may be able to go toe to toe with sh1ro in their duels. EliGE also increased his damage per round once again sitting at 92.1 which is the highest of both teams so there’s definitely a chance this game goes down to the wire. Both teams have slaying capability and it should cause this match to go either way.
GODSENT (GDSNT) v.s. Berlin International Gaming (BIG) (1:30 PM EST) (-180 BIG).
Both teams entering this match have not been performing as well and have 1-3 records. BIG has been performing better though with a 50% win-rate compared to GDSNT’s 27.3% win-rate. This would be GDSNT’s best chance to rebound though with the strongest slayers from BIG coming off shaky games. This may start with dumau from GDSNT coming off a +10 kill-death differential but pressure will definitely be on him with tabseN on the other side averaging 90+ damage per round. That being said if dumau and his teammates are unable to prevent tabseN from rebounding they may end up getting dominated here since GDSNT won’t have the damage dealers to match.
Party Astronauts (ASTRO) v.s. Movistar Riders (MR) (1:30 PM EST) (-700 MR)
The best and undefeated team in the group in MR have been pulling off upsets left and right and now face an ASTRO team that has been winless so far this group. MR has been having SunPayus anchor/snipe for them and coming off a +23 kill-death differential game which bodes wellf or him to do well once again. The opposing sniper in PwnAlone of ASTRO will be at a disadvantage once again with SunPayus being more consistent as of late with a 1.42 K/D compared to PwnAlone’s 1.10. This bodes well for alex of MR to continue dealing a high amount of damage like he has as of late at 82.8 per round. In conclusion, this benefits MR even more and should lead to them winning this match.
