The NBA Rundown – FanDuel & DraftKings NBA DFS Picks – March 20, 2022 (3/20/22) – FantasyCruncher.com DFS Articles & Insights – fantasycruncher.com

Please note that players on DraftKings and FanDuel have multi-position eligibility and may not always match their position between each other. In this article, we will be breaking down some of our favorite plays on the slate at their positions. Remember to keep your eye on the news as the day progresses, as NBA news frequently changes the slate.

Guard

Donovan Mitchell ($8,800 DK, $8,500 FD)

Donovan Mitchell UTA 57 38 19 33.6 25.7 69.8 7 10.1

Mitchell returns from his calf injury tonight to take on the Knicks in Madison Square Garden. Mike Conley, Danuel House, and Bojan Bogdanovic are all OUT, and Trent Forrest and Hassan Whiteside are questionable. Mitchell should see a nice bump in usage here as the team will rely on him heavily to generate offense for himself and others.

Cole Anthony ($6,500 DK, $5,900 FD)

PLAYER TEAM GP W L MIN PTS TOUCHES REB CHANCES POTENTIAL AST
Cole Anthony ORL 57 16 41 32.6 17.2 78.1 9.8 11.4

We have two bad teams matching up tonight as the Magic host the Thunder in Orlando. Over the last 15 games, OKC has the worst Defensive Rating in the NBA, and they are playing at the 5th fastest Pace. Over his last 5 games, Anthony has averaged 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists.

Trent Forrest ($3,000 DK, $3,500 FD)

PLAYER TEAM GP W L MIN PTS TOUCHES REB CHANCES POTENTIAL AST
Trent Forrest UTA 54 35 19 12.6 3.2 24.2 2.9 3.2

We will have to take a wait-and-see approach with Forrest; as mentioned previously, he’s currently questionable to play tonight against the Knicks. If Forrest suits up, it’s reasonable to project him to start this game and play upwards of 28-32 minutes. Forrest isn’t a great fantasy point producer; however, given the situation, the minimum salary on both platforms is too cheap.

Forward

Jayson Tatum ($10,000 DK, $9,300 FD)

PLAYER TEAM GP W L MIN PTS TOUCHES REB CHANCES POTENTIAL AST
Jayson Tatum BOS 65 40 25 36.3 26.6 74.4 12.3 8.6

Tatum has been playing out of his mind recently, but he’s failed to return value on FanDuel over the last 3 games. We’ve seen his salary dip down to $9,300, making him one of the best small forward plays on today’s slate. On DraftKings, while his price is higher, I still like Tatum in tournaments. This game is being played in altitude against Denver, so we should temper our expectations slightly, but the ceiling remains in this spot.

Wendell Carter Jr. ($7,800 DK, $6,900 FD)

PLAYER TEAM GP W L MIN PTS TOUCHES REB CHANCES POTENTIAL AST
Wendell Carter Jr. ORL 59 14 45 29.9 14.7 60.6 17.3 5.1

Carter Jr. is also more appealing on FanDuel tonight, but still a good play on DraftKings. Over his last 3 games, he’s averaged 20.3 points, 9.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.3 blocks. These are two bad teams, and this is a pace-up spot for the Magic.

Center

Domantas Sabonis ($9,400 DK, $8,400 FD)

PLAYER TEAM GP W L MIN PTS TOUCHES REB CHANCES POTENTIAL AST
Domantas Sabonis SAC 60 21 39 34.5 18.7 78.3 19.8 9.3

The FanDuel pricing quickly became the theme of this article today, and this spot is no different. There’s no reason for Sabonis to be priced as low as he is; over his last 3 games, he’s played 38 MPG and averaged 1.23 fantasy points per minute. In games where he’s stayed out of foul trouble, his minutes and role have been secure on this Kings team. De’Aaron Fox is questionable to play tonight with a hand injury, but Sabonis is one of the best plays on the slate regardless of his status.
