Please note that players on DraftKings and FanDuel have multi-position eligibility and may not always match their position between each other. In this article, we will be breaking down some of our favorite plays on the slate at their positions. Remember to keep your eye on the news as the day progresses, as NBA news frequently changes the slate.
Point Guard
Ja Morant ($9,600 DK, $9,600 FD)
| PLAYER | TEAM | GP | W | L | MIN | PTS | TOUCHES | REB CHANCES | POTENTIAL AST |
| Ja Morant | MEM | 33 | 19 | 14 | 32.7 | 24.8 | 77.6 | 9.7 | 13.2 |
Morant is the hottest player in the league right now, and he’s undoubtedly putting everyone on notice. Morant is trending towards the “matchup” proof category of players, and he’s firmly in consideration no matter who the Grizzlies play against. The Mav’s rank 20th in fantasy points allowed to the point guard position, and Ja averages 1.39 fantasy points per minute this season.
Shooting Guard
LaMelo Ball ($8,200 DK, $8,000 FD)
| PLAYER | TEAM | GP | W | L | MIN | PTS | TOUCHES | REB CHANCES | POTENTIAL AST |
| LaMelo Ball | CHA | 37 | 21 | 16 | 31.9 | 19.1 | 86.1 | 11.1 | 13 |
The Hornets rank 25th in Defensive Rating and 2nd in Pace, while the Hawks rank 28th in Defensive Rating and 18th in Pace. We have the potential for a shootout in this one, and I like LaMelo’s chances to lead the way. The Hawks rank 24th in fantasy points allowed to the point guard position, and LaMelo averages 1.4 fantasy points per minute.
Small Forward
Saddiq Bey ($6,600 DK, $5,600 FD)
| PLAYER | TEAM | GP | W | L | MIN | PTS | TOUCHES | REB CHANCES | POTENTIAL AST |
| Saddiq Bey | DET | 43 | 11 | 32 | 33.6 | 15.5 | 50.8 | 9.6 | 5 |
Due to health and safety protocols, the Pistons are without multiple key rotation players, most notably Jerami Grant. We’ve seen Bey flash his upside numerous times already this season, scoring 50+ fantasy points on six different occasions. In 907 minutes with Grant off the floor, Bey averages .94 fantasy points per minute.
Power Forward
OG Anunoby ($6,800 DK, $6,300 FD)
| PLAYER | TEAM | GP | W | L | MIN | PTS | TOUCHES | REB CHANCES | POTENTIAL AST |
| OG Anunoby | TOR | 27 | 15 | 12 | 36.3 | 19.1 | 53.4 | 9.2 | 5 |
The Raptors host the Blazers tonight in Toronto, Portland’s season has trended in the wrong direction after Lillard’s abdominal injury, and they currently own the league’s second-worst defensive rating. OG will play big minutes and ultimately stuff the stat sheet in all categories each night, but I like his chances to score points in this matchup. The Blazers currently rank 19th in fantasy points allowed to the small forward position.
Center
Nikola Vucevic ($9,100 DK, $9,000 FD)
| PLAYER | TEAM | GP | W | L | MIN | PTS | TOUCHES | REB CHANCES | POTENTIAL AST |
| Nikola Vucevic | CHI | 36 | 24 | 12 | 33.1 | 16.3 | 72.2 | 18.5 | 6.2 |
The Bulls will be without LaVine for at least another game due to a knee injury. In 631 minutes with LaVine off the floor, big Vuce averages 1.26 fantasy points per minute. If revenge narratives are your thing, he’ll be playing in front of an Orlando crowd where he spent ten years of his career. The Magic ranks 26th in Defensive Rating and 26th in fantasy points, which is allowed to the center position.
