Minecraft 1.20 update is the next major content patch coming to the game, which was revealed during Minecraft Live 2022. Its beta is already out for a while now, and players can test some of the upcoming features in it and provide feedback to devs. While Mojang has not revealed the name of the next patch, it is confirmed that it will be based on self-expression, creativity, and intrinsic motivation theme.

As of now, there is no exact release date announced for Minecraft 1.20 update, and all we know is that it will release at some point in 2023. However, as per the speculations, we can get it during the summer this year.

Mojang has revealed some of the content coming to the next update, and it includes the following:
New Default Skins: A bunch of new default skins will be added to the next patch, and you can have a look at them below.
Hanging Signs: As the name suggests, you can now hang your signs to give them a new look. There will be three types of hanging signs in the Minecraft 1.20 update.
Bamboo Wood: You can now use Bamboo to build doors, stairs, planks, and more. In addition to this, you can also use it to craft Rafts for you to go on a sea adventure.
Camels: Camels will be added to the next Minecraft update as passive mobs, and they can be found in desert villages.
Chiseled Bookshelf: Players will now be able to place their favorite books in the new fully functional Chiseled Bookshelf. These bookshelves also support Redstone interactions.
