Overwatch 2’s Limited-Time “Battle For Olympus” Game Mode … – MMOBomb

OW2 Battle for Olympus

Starting tomorrow and running until January 19th, Overwatch 2 players can jump into a new limited-time “Battle for Olympus” game mode that transforms specific characters into greek deities and mythological creatures.

Battle for Olympus is a seven-player free-for-all deathmatch mode featuring a limited number of characters like Reinhardt, Lucio, Pharah, and Junker Queen – each having “reimagined abilities that will channel the power of the gods.”

And as icing on top, those characters will dress up as Medusa, Cyclops, Minotaur, Zeus, and others. So not only do they look the part, their newfound abilities to turn opponents into stone, chuck giant rocks, or smite enemies with lightning should match their Greek counterparts.

Blizzard will also add a global leaderboard that will tally up the most eliminations earned during Battle for Olympus. The player with the most kills will be awarded a marble statue in their glory on the Ilios map.

So far, the Mythical Zeus Junker Queen and the Legendary Poseidon Ramattra and Hades Pharah skins will be available for players to grab from the Battle Pass. It’s unclear if there will be new sprays, titles, voice lines, and more unique skins when the mode launches tomorrow.

Note: Activision Blizzard is still under investigation by the state of California for serious harassment charges. CEO Bobby Kotick is alleged to have known about such actions within his company – and performed some himself – and shielded the perpetrators from consequences.
