Microsoft is introducing a new Xbox bundle for the holidays. While the Xbox Series S was available for $249 this Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the new Xbox Series S – Gilded Hunter Bundle arrives worldwide on November 29.
Priced at $299, the Xbox Series S – Gilded Hunter Bundle includes the console and controller plus nine in-game cosmetics and virtual currency for Fortnite, Rocket League and Fall Guys.
For Fortnite, the Gilded Hunter Pack includes the Hunter Saber Outfit, Saber’s Fang Pickaxe, The Hunt Begins Wrap and 1,000 V-Bucks ($7.99 value) that can be spent in the in-game shop.
The Rocket League Gilded Hunter Pack comes with the Fennec Car, Huntress Decal, Orange Hexphase Boost and Titanium Asto CSX Wheels and 1,000 Rocket League Credits ($10 value) that can be used to upgrade to Rocket League Pass Premium, build Bluprints or buy things from the Item Shop.
Lastly, the Fall Guys Gilded Hunter Pack includes the Falltron Ultra Costume, Falltronic Emote, Falltronic Nameplate and 1,000 Show-Bucks ($7.99 value).
The Xbox Series S – Gilded Hunter Bundle can be purchased with Xbox All Access. For $24.99 per month for 24 months, you’ll get the Xbox Series S – Gilded Hunter Bundle and access to the hundreds of games including day one releases through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
So is the Xbox Series S – Gilded Hunter Bundle worth it at $299 — especially when you could’ve purchased a Series S on its own for $249 (or even cheaper through Target)?
It really depends on how much you value these three games and the cosmetics it includes. The currency alone for all three games adds up to $26, so are the cosmetics worth another $25 to you? If not, you may want to just try and purchase the Xbox Series S on its own for $249 if you can still find it. Either option is a good deal as the Xbox Series S gets you next-gen capability for a rather affordable price.
