In 2016, Activision-Blizzard entered the Hero-Shooter segment with the release of Overwatch. The game quickly gained popularity among millions of players worldwide.
Now, Overwatch 2 arrived as the sequel to the multiplayer game. The new installment in the saga follows a continuous gameplay, keeping all the good things of the original title and adding more content and some tweaks.
The first big change in the sequel is that it is now free-to-play (the original Overwatch was paid-for). That means you can try it without having to spend anything.
The original Overwatch already supported cross play, and now the sequel adds cross save as well. That is, you can merge your PC and console accounts to keep progressing from any platform.
Although the game aims to focus on multiplayer, the developers will bring a story mode (in 2023). Apparently, Blizzard wants to take full advantage of the large catalog of characters and the lore of each one to create great stories.
Of course, Overwatch 2 will also bring new heroes, skins, items, maps, and more. That is something that will require constant updates, so it is likely that some of those updates will bring bugs.
