According to the newspaper publication, the Singapore-based Sea Limited Corporation said it made substantial staff cuts to its Garena (Free Fire).

Developer Free Fire is one of several Sea divisions being beaten by a wave of layoffs since the parent company’s quarterly loss report went viral.
According to two of the three sources of Reuters, Sea has laid off about 15% of Garenas Shanghai office staff. A spokesman for the company confirmed that certain teams have gotten some adjustments.
Seas’ poor financial results for the last quarter led to a cancellation of several new games in development at Garena.
Free Fire is an unrivalled game of Warcraft. It released on iOS and Android in August 2017 and in 2021 rammed its creators over four billion dollars (Sensor Tower data).
