Is The Pump Shotgun Back In Fortnite?
Epic Games has confirmed that the Pump is back in Fortnite today as part of the new update going live on August 30.
Other items are also making a comeback this week, although gamers might need to try some of the different modes that will be available this week.
As confirmed by the development team earlier this week, Fortnite Late Game Arena Mode returns today, and this will be the version of the game that will be guaranteed to have the Legendary Pump Shotgun.
The news was confirmed by the Fortnite Competitive social channels earlier this week, telling fans on Twitter: “Rift Spawning, Legendary Pump Shotguns, and more! Late Game Arena returns on August 30, at 8 am ET.”
And without any major updates announced for the other core playlists found in the game, the Pump is not expected to be available beyond the Late Game Arena. While it remains a limited item, there are other weapons making a return today, with the latest news shared below, courtesy of Epic Games:
“A samurai in life and a phantom in the afterlife, stealth is no stranger to Phantasm. In the upcoming Shadow of Phantasm Week, the Suppressed Assault Rifle, Suppressed SMG, Shadow Bomb, and Shield Bubble will be unvaulted! Complete special Quests for XP while using these items that are back with a vengeance. Shadow of Phantasm Week starts August 30 at 9 AM ET and ends September 7, 2022, at 9 AM ET.”
This means that gamers will be able to find Suppressed Assault Rifles and Suppressed SMGs from the ground and Chests, and Shadow Bombs and Shield Bubbles from the ground, Chests, and Supply Drops. There will also be special Quests going live with these new weapons that unlock new rewards tied to the “Shadow of Phantasm Week” category.
