The end of Fortnite‘s Vibin’ season is now just over a month away, and as the sun sets on the battle royale’s summer, fans are already discussing what could be in store in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4.

This season brought plenty of beach related fun, Darth Vader and Indiana Jones to name but a few. We’ve also had the addition of No Sweat Summer missions. These included fun challenges for players to nab for XP and rewards.

But all good things must come to an end and make way for the new. With that in mind, let’s take a look at what we know about Fortnite’s next chapter so far.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 predicted release date

Epic Games hasn’t announced a release date for the next Fortnite season yet at the time of writing. However the current season, Vibin’, is currently set to end on September 17, 2022.

Presumably, there’ll be another live event to mark the end of this season. However, Epic hasn’t announced details of that yet either. Going on previous form, we’ll guess that’ll likely take place over that weekend.

Therefore, short of Epic announcing some kind of delay, we’d assume Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 to go live around September 18-19 2022.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 theme, changes and more

Once again, it’s early days yet to know what the new season will entail. However, this will over October which means it’ll almost certainly incorporate the now annual tradition of the battle royale’s Fortnitemares event.

In fact, Epic has already called for those making custom maps in Creative Mode to submit their creations to be featured in Discover mode. So we can definitely expect some appropriately spooky-themed hi-jinx as part of the season.

Turning to the reliable Fortnite leakers, back in June InTheShade claimed a new skating feature was being worked on. This, combined with skate parks being added the map over the last few months, could hint at a potential skater theme coming to the battle royale.

We won’t, sadly, likely be getting a crossover with PlayStation hit The Last of Us. It was heavily rumoured Joel and Ellie could be the next gaming stars to make a guest appearance. However, Neil Druckmann put the kibosh on those whispers last month.
