Noah Gragson – $10,800 – Starting 6th

We return to Atlanta this weekend for the Alsco Uniforms 250. Unfortunately, rain has washed out qualifying for our Xfinity drivers, so we didn’t necessarily get a great glimpse of what to expect out of current equipment. Luckily for us, this is the second race at this track this year for these drivers so we do have some historical data to go off of. Gragson’s last five or so races haven’t been spectacular, but we have been everywhere from multiple road courses to superspeedways. Now, we return to intermediate tracks where Gragson has excelled in his young career. Starting with Atlanta alone, four of his last five runs here have ended with 50 or more fantasy points. In the race earlier this year, Gragson led 38 laps from the pole but then wrecked halfway through the race and ended in 26th. Prior to that race it was nothing but top-5 finishes in 2020 and 2021. On intermediate tracks, Gragson has 16 top-5 finishes in 35 starts.

J.J. Yeley – $6,500 – Starting 35th

Due to no qualifying, we get Yeley starting 35th which goes without saying offers us a ton of differential upside. Yeley hasn’t been great, but he also hasn’t been horrible with an average finish of 23rd in 15 races. Back in the Spring, Yeley finished 11th at this track after starting 21st. When it comes to restrictor-plate races, Yeley averages a top 20 finish over his career. I’ll take my shot on a guy here with recent success at the track + a lot more experience overall at this level than some of the guys just a head of him. I am not expecting massive things here, but starting this far back likely makes him a hot choice today.
