As of this writing, FanDuel has not released its slates for tonight’s contests. While the players in this article are going to be focused on DraftKings for that reason typically my favorite players do not change from site to site for WNBA. Therefore when FanDuel does release its slates you can use the players in this article for your Core.
Favorite Plays
Marina Mabrey
Mabrey did not have a good game last time out with only 16.75 fantasy points in her 26 minutes but I am not worried about her last game for several reasons. The first is Mabrey did not play her normal allotment of minutes due to the blowout victory. The Wings won by almost 30 points. If the game was closer we would have seen Mabrey play an extra five to ten minutes. With the extra minutes, we would have likely seen her produce over 20 fantasy points which is a mark she hit in each of her previous four games. Another reason why I am not worried about Mabrey tonight is due to the match-up against the Mercury. The Mercury rank in the bottom three in points allowed per game and fantasy points allowed per game this season. In her two previous games against the Mercury Mabrey has also played well with averages of 13.5 points, five rebounds, eight assists, and 29.5 fantasy points.
Breanna Stewart
If you have ever played WNBA DFS before you should already know that Stewart is one of the players you should be targeting as she is one of if not the best player in the WNBA. Stewart has especially shown how great she is as of late for the Storm. In her past six games, Stewart is averaging 23.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.7 blocks+steals, and 41.3 fantasy points. With a match-up against a Sparks team that ranks in the bottom three in points allowed per game and team rebounding rate, we shouldn’t see Stewart slow down one bit in this game.
