Game two was dominated by Colorado – and as the series keeps rolling along, tonight the two teams head to Tampa with the Avs up 2-0 in the series. For Tampa, tonight will pretty much be a must-win game to avoid falling down three nothing in the series, and they have their work cut out for them. Vegas has the line pretty neutral tonight, with Colorado checking in as -115 favourites on the road.
I think we’ll see a much better effort from Tampa tonight. With that said, they clearly have an uphill battle against a team that is now 14-2 in the Stanley Cup playoffs. There aren’t any attractive metrics for the Bolts from Game 2 so I won’t even go there tonight. It boils down to this – if you like Tampa to bounce back and make this a bit of a series, I’d focus on the Stamkos line along with the Point line as my main targets in terms of exposure here. On the back-end, Sergachev and Hedman are the areas of focus. If you do like Tampa tonight, Vasilevskiy is a fantastic option to go over-weight exposure on, including in the Captain spot of line-up builds.
As for Colorado, they have been the better team in both of the games so far, with Game 2 being extremely lopsided with the ice shifting in their direction. For the Avs, if you like them tonight, I think you can stay the course getting some exposure to the usual suspects here led by Nathan MacKinnon, Cale Makar, Rantanen and Landeskog as my favourite options on the board for Colorado worth the highest exposure in builds in my opinion.
Enjoy Game 3 tonight, and we’ll be back with a breakdown for Game 4 (and beyond if the series goes that long!)
