Every day this season, our team shares who we believe has the best chance to leave the yard. From one-off plays to core parts of daily stacks, we hope this fun article will help you build winning MLB DFS lineups along the way.
As always, FantasyCruncher has several daily articles from pitching to stacking, to home run picks, to general cheat sheets to help you build your daily lineups. And the best news, it is all free! This year for 2022, we are changing up the scoring for the home run calls to be weighted based on the player’s salary. If one of our writers chooses a player with a salary over $5,000 it will be worth 0.5 points. Between $4-$4.9k is 1 point, $3-$3.9k is 2 points, and anyone $2.9k or below is worth 3 points. In terms of salary, we are going off of DraftKings salary for this article. Again, the scoring system is just a fun and friendly competition between our MLB content writers.
Today’s Picks
James: Hunter Renfroe ($3,500) – Mike Minor has allowed six home runs in just 14.1 innings on the year and four of them have come to righty bats. Right-handed hitters are batting .290 but slugging .658 against Minor in his short three-game data clip. Renfroe has 12 long balls on the year and has homered in each of his last two games. On the year, Renfroe is slugging .625 against lefty pitching.
Zach: Nate Lowe ($3,000) – Drew Hutchison has only allowed two home runs since the start of last season but that does not mean he is a pitcher you shouldn’t target in this article. I believe Hutchison’s lack of home runs has been due more to the lack of innings he has pitched in the majors in those two seasons as he has a career HR/9 rate of 1.26. While I think a lot of Rangers have a chance to go deep in this one Lowe is my pick as he is hitting the ball well this month. So far in the month of June, Lowe is slugging .588 with an ISO of .279. Lowe has five home runs this month after only hitting three in April and May combined.
Jared: Aaron Judge ($6,100) – Judge leads the league in home runs this season and is going to add on to his total today as he takes on Yusei Kikuchi. Kikuchi has allowed five home runs in his past two home starts and has allowed right-handed hitters to slug 1.033 with a 59.1% hard-hit rate in those games.
Overall Standings
| James | 16.5 (15 total home runs) |
| Zach | 19 (14 total home runs) |
| Jared | 20.5 (14 total home runs) |
