The MLB DFS Dinger of the Day – June 11, 2022 (6/11/22) – FantasyCruncher.com DFS Articles & Insights – fantasycruncher.com

Every day this season, our team shares who we believe has the best chance to leave the yard. From one-off plays to core parts of daily stacks, we hope this fun article will help you build winning MLB DFS lineups along the way.

As always, FantasyCruncher has several daily articles from pitching to stacking, to home run picks, to general cheat sheets to help you build your daily lineups. And the best news, it is all free! This year for 2022, we are changing up the scoring for the home run calls to be weighted based on the player’s salary. If one of our writers chooses a player with a salary over $5,000 it will be worth 0.5 points. Between $4-$4.9k is 1 point, $3-$3.9k is 2 points, and anyone $2.9k or below is worth 3 points. In terms of salary, we are going off of DraftKings salary for this article. Again, the scoring system is just a fun and friendly competition between our MLB content writers.

Today’s Picks

James: Hunter Renfroe ($3,800) – Patrick Corbin is somehow still getting MLB starts despite having some of the worst numbers in all of baseball. In 60 innings pitched, Corbin has allowed 82 hits and 45 earned runs. While he has managed to lower his home run rate, he is still being hit hard by righties. Corbin has allowed seven home runs on the year and all have come to right-handed hitters. Last year 35 of the 37 home runs he allowed also came to righties. Hunter Renfroe has 10 long balls on the year and has a 191 wRC+ against lefty arms.

Zach: Vladmimir Guerrero Jr. ($5,700) – I am going right back to Vladdy Jr. today despite him not going deep for me last night as he is in another great match-up against Beau Brieske. Brieske has allowed at least two home runs in five of his eight starts and has allowed five home runs in his past two starts. Brieske has struggled the most against right-handed hitting allowing them to slash .295/.346/.611  with a .406 wOBA.

Jared: Lourdes Gurriel Jr ($3,500) – If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Gurriel did me well last night, continuing his strong recent stretch with another 2-hit night, including a long ball against Elvin Rodriguez. Fast-forward to the next day, and we have another plus situation for right-handed hitters. Beau Brieske has allowed RHB to slug .611 and hold a .406 wOBA against him in 23.2 innings this year with 8 of his 12 HR coughed up coming in the split. With how well Gurriel is seeing the ball right now, and being a notoriously streaky hitter, I’m going to stay on the gravy train for (at least) one more day in hopes the good times keep on rollin’.

Overall Standings

James 16.0 (14 total home runs)
Zach 15 (10 total home runs)
Jared 20.5.5 (14 total home runs)
