Finding new friends in Fortnite is something that Epic Games has made a lot smoother throughout the years. But a new Friend Request Accepted Notification Glitch is making all those requests pop up once more.

One of their additions that encourages others to befriend their squad mates was the ability to send a friend request to players you recently played with.

This is great when players are solo-queuing and find a squad that they resonated well with. But players have found themselves getting spammed with “Friend Request Accepted” messages with the launch of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3.

Thankfully, players have found a way to fix this notification glitch.

Fortnite Friend Request Accepted Notification Glitch Quick Fix

The quickest way to fix the Friend Request Accepted Notification Glitch is by making your way to your settings and turning the notification off.

This will ensure that your notifications aren’t all over the place. To turn off that notifications setting, follow these steps:

Open up the sidebar menu by clicking on three horizontal lines located in the top left of your screen.

Head down towards the gear sign and click on it.
Open up your settings.
Navigate to the final page where it says “Account and Privacy.”

Go to the Social Privacy section.
Toggle off the “Show Social Notifications” setting.
Apply your settings.
Exit the Fortnite application and restart the game.

And now you should stop seeing this Friend Request Accepted Notification Glitch in Fortnite. But this is only a temporary fix. You won’t be notified when you get a request sent, so make sure to turn it back on once Epic Games provide a hotfix.

You don’t want to end up solo-queuing forever since the more friends in your party, the more quickly you can complete the battle pass!
