When it comes to Fortnite, Epic Games’ huge battle royale shooter, there’s always a new pop culture content collaboration to look forward to. In the past we’ve seen Robocop, Naruto, Spider-Man, and Rey Skywalker all feature – and the Obi-Wan Kenobi skin release date is finally here. Now, it looks like the upcoming Fortnite Collision event is going to lead to one of the most exciting collaborations yet. Yes, a Darth Vader skin is coming to Fortnite – and Epic Games has all-but confirmed it.

Ahead of the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 live event start time, Epic Games has taken to social media to share a brand new Obi-Wan Kenobi skin trailer to celebrate the cosmetic bundle’s release. For the most part, this new trailer is just Epic Games showcasing the Obi-Wan Kenobi skin in-game; however, it ends with an exciting teaser that suggests we’re getting another lightsaber-wielding character as a cosmetic soon.

Of course, we’re talking about Darth Vader – Obi-Wan Kenobi’s former Padawan, brother in arms, and ultimate nemesis. We don’t know exactly what is going to happen in the Fortnite Collision event, but it looks like the stars are going to align more than once – we could see Darth Vader’s release in Fortnite coinciding with his first appearance in the Disney Plus series.

The claims that Darth Vader is coming to Fortnite after the Collision event – in Chapter 3 Season 3 – aren’t unfounded. This character has been rumoured to be appearing in Chapter 3 Season 3 for months now and recent leaks, which several reputable sources suggest are accurate, practically confirm this.

As you can see below, it appears as though Darth Vader is going to be available towards the end of the Chapter 3 Season 3 battle pass – much like how Doctor Strange was made available in Chapter 3 Season 2, or Spider-Man in the season prior.

Indiana Jones, another Lucasfilm IP, could also be coming to Fortnite in Chapter 3 Season 3 in a similar capacity to how the Prowler was released as a mid-season content update in Chapter 3 Season 2. Of course, take this with a pinch of salt until we know more – but, it looks like Darth Vader is all-but confirmed as the first bit of content we know about coming to the battle royale after the Fortnite Collision event.
