Team Liquid (TL) vs. Team Vitality (VIT) (8:00 AM EST)

To start off the slate a battle of strong snipers/anchors will faceoff in ZywOo of VIT and oSee of TL. The last time these teams faced off was with previous rosters and ZywOo had his way with a +26 kill-death differential game so even though he would be facing a different sniper now his performance will be crucial for his team’s success. Fortunately for VIT, ZywOo has been the most consistent out of both teams with a 1.40 K/D which may lead to him causing havoc again for TL. With TL’s most relied on slayer in NAF slightly regressing from last game this may put even more pressure on the other TL players. Also, with oSee not likely to dominate ZywOo kills should become easier for the rest of the VIT players. Two of the players that had double-digit positive kill-death differentials in the last faceoff for VIT are no longer on the team though so this is NAF/EliGE’s best chance of redeeming themselves since they both have 80+ damage compared to VIT only having ZywOo in that range slaying wise.

Ninjas In Pyjamas (NIP) vs. Natus Vincere (NATUS) (10:30 AM EST)

Both teams enter this match on winning streaks (NIP- two games in a row, NATUS- four games in a row) and NIP will have to deal with arguably the best sniper in the game from NATUS in s1mple. NIP was able to defeat NATUS in a close series 2-1 last time these teams met though so its definitely possible despite s1mple being the second most efficient player (+14 kill-death differential) compared to Plopski’s +16. Therefore, NIP will have to try and keep the other players of NATUS from performing well (like they have previously by causing two of the players to have double-digit negative kill-death differentials). The only potential problem is that electronic who was one of those two players that underperformed for NATUS last time has potential to perform better this game due to him dealing damage not too far from s1mple this time around (82.9 compared to s1mple’s 86.5). Therefore, if s1mple does well once again his teammates should be able to complement him better. On the other hand, NIP now has two players with damage in the 80+ range per round in Brollan/REZ. Also, REZ had a double-digit positive kill-death differential series against a strong opposing sniper two games ago so it’s definitely possible. All in all, this game may go down to the wire and can go either way.

Imperial (IMP) vs. Bad News Eagles (BNE) (10:30 AM EST)

In conclusion, two teams on the come-up will face off here with IMP coming in at the 32nd rank and on a two-game losing streak, while BNE enters with a two-game losing streak as well and at rank 26th. These teams also faced off not too many games ago and BNE was able to edge out the victory in a one-game series 16-12. The slaying was more even across the board for IMP but none of the players were able to have a positive kill-death differential. Despite one of the top two slayers from BNE in the last matchup being the most efficient for his team with a 1.06 K/D and high accuracy rate of 56.7%, juanflatroo may not be able to do it alone. IMP have improved since then and now three riflemen capable of doing 80+ damage per round with fer leading the way. The most efficient slayer for BNE in gxx from last game has regressed slightly which may be the opening IMP can take advantage of as well.
