Natus Vincere (NATUS) v.s. Team Vitality (VIT) (7:45 AM EST)

The battle of the two best snipers in the game arguably (s1mple versus ZywOo) will start off the slate and their performances for their team will be key. NATUS will look to rebound off an upset loss as well with s1mple dominating (+16 kill-death differential game) but not having as much slaying from his teammates. Last time these teams met NATUS prevailed in a close 2-1 series. Both of the snipers went at it too but NATUS were able to have more efficient slaying across the board while ZywOo was the only player with a positive kill-death differential on his team. Also, with ZywOo and one other teammate being the only one having a kill-death ratio above 1 theres a chance a similar scenario may happen. S1mple also maintained his high damage rate and has the most of both teams at 92.5 so he may continue to be problematic for opponents.

Eternal Fire (EF) v.s. Fnatic (FNC) (7:45 AM EST)

The ranking difference is quite bigger in this matchup with FNC entering at rank 16th while EF enters at rank 40th. FNC will also look to rebound from a two-game losing streak while EF tries to rebound from one game. FNC got the best of EF the last time these teams met as well in dominant fashion (16-3). Two players of FNC dealt above 100+ damage per round which is difficult to repeat but mezii dominated with a +21 kill-death differential. Also, mezii more than likely will be relied on heavily from his team since he is the only player with a kill-death ratio above 1 at the moment. With EF having two players above a 1 kill-death ratio and a player with the most damage per round out of both teams in XANTARES (83 per round) this could be an opportunity for them to pull of an upset. However, XANTARES was the second least efficient player for his team in the previous matchup so if he’s unable to perform well his team may struggle again.

Mousesports (MOUZ) v.s. FaZe Clan (FAZE) (11:30 AM EST)

FAZE were upset and swept in their previous matchup and will now face a higher ranked opponent in MOUZ. MOUZ will look to extend their two-game winning streak here which could give them a momentum edge in this matchup. FAZE also slightly edged out a win in these teams’ last faceoff (2-1) with torzsi having a double-digit kill-death differential game. Therefore, the slaying might not be in question for MOUZ but more of their objective play/staying alive. In addition, FAZE has two players with the highest deaths per round (rain/karrigan) and one of them happened to have the highest deaths in the last matchup. That being said this could be another match that can go either way and an opponent that FAZE shouldn’t take for granted despite their higher rank at the moment.

Dignitas (DIG) v.s. Outsiders (OUT) (11:30 AM EST)

DIG was finally able to end their losing drought but now face a tougher opponent in OUT who is trying to rebound from their two-game losing streak. Hallzerk’s anchoring at sniper for DIG may end up being key here once again as the second highest damage dealer for DIG in their last victory and second most efficient player on the team. The battle between the snipers will be tough here though with Jame being the most efficient player out of both teams with a 1.50 K/D as of late and sniping for OUT. This could give OUT a massive edge in sniping battles since hallzerk has not been as consistent (1.07 K/D). That being said DIG may struggle more here since their last loss resulted in hallzerk not having a positive kill-death differential game. All of the players of OUT also deal damage which may help them even more while DIG only has three players within range and the rest being lower.
