KOVA (KVA) v.s. Into the Breach (INTB) (8:00 AM EST)
To start the slate both these teams will face off once again and INTB was able to prevail in the first series 2-1. CYPHER played a large part in the dominance for INTB in that previous matchup with a +23 kill-death differential. There’s a possibility he may dominate again as well with the second most damage per round on his team (81.7), which is even scarier for KVA to deal with. Unfortunately, there is no one on KVA dealing close to that amount of damage which could lead to them struggling with slaying again. This was a problem in the first series and the top two slayers for INTB are still the top two most efficient in CYPHER/smooya so the chances KVA wins here is slim.
Anonymo (ANO) v.s. 4glory (4GL) (11:00 AM EST)
The rankings are within similar range with these two teams with ANO entering as the 47th ranked team and 4GL being ranked 56th. Both teams have been running hot as well with win-streaks (ANO– 5, 4GL– 4), but one must come to an end. The efficiency for the players of 4GL has been quite even across the board with everyone having kill-death ratios above 1 and c0llins leading the way with a 1.11 K/D which may result in his team relying on him most. ANO should have the edge here though with the most efficient players of both teams as of late with 1.22/1.23 K/D’s in tudsoN and Vegi. Also, the fact that tudsoN is ANO’s main sniper should complement his teammates well, especially Vegi who can capitalize off of his high damage rate of 86 per round. Since Vegi has an assist rate on the higher end at 0.14 per round as well, he may end up supporting his teammates well even if he doesn’t perform better or worse than he’s had lately. This match still has potential to go back and forth though, but ANO should have the edge.
Copenhagen Flames (CPHF) v.s. BLUEJAYS (BLUE) (2:00 PM EST)
CPHF enter this match with the highest streak on the slate at six games in a row against a BLUE squad looking to extend their one-game winning streak. The previous faceoff these teams had was a tight one and BLUE was able to prevail 2-1 so it’ll be interesting to see how CPHF adjusts. CPHF was able to slay more efficiently in the last matchup despite losing, but deaths were on the higher end for two of their teammates so that’ll definitely be something they may value more going into this match. However, roeJ is dealing an extremely high amount of damage as of late at 95 per round which can definitely be problematic for BLUE this time around. The fact that nicoodoz who was the most efficient slayer for CPHF in the last faceoff with a +29 kill-death differential and is the second most efficient slayer currently, can also result in him contributing greatly as well. Moreover, this match can definitely go down to the wire once again and CacaNito has a chance to go toe to toe with roeJ if they meet often on the map due to his 91.1 damage per round. BLUE also has another player dealing north of 80+ damage in kyxsan which can counter players of CPHF who are not doing so outside of roeJ. That being said, if BLUE somehow prevents roeJ from having a dominant series they should be able to prevail here but in another nail-biter.
