DraftKings & Fanduel LoL DFS Rundown (LCK/LPL) – March 11, 2022 – FantasyCruncher.com DFS Articles & Insights – fantasycruncher.com

Rare Atom (RA) [-230] vs. Ultra Prime (UP)

There isn’t really a notable win for Ultra Prime on the year, while they are 5-8 and 14-20, all five victories are against teams with a current losing record. Ultra Prime has been a team we can target at specific times as Elk and Cryin have heavy carry power, but even in wins this is a team that is constantly going to three games. Essentially saying, if Ultra Prime were to defeat Rare Atom, it would be their best win on the year, and doing it in a 2-0 fashion would go against everything their data tells us on this split. Rare Atom was on a winning streak before just falling to OMG in three games on Sunday. A 2-0 win over RNG in the last two weeks has been their top victory, but this is a team playing way better as of late. I think Ultra Prime can take a game here, but they are too volatile of a team to grab a sweep here. Rare Atom is the better play.

Kwangdong Freecs (KDF)  vs. T1 (T1) [-480]

It is hard to objectively spend time writing up T1 matchups. They are 14-0 on the split and 28-5 in games. T1 outslayed Kwangdong 30-11 when they met back in week one and while KDF is a better team now and playing much better, T1 is still a buzzsaw to run into. Four T1 starters sit in the top-10 for KDA, though Teddy and FATE from KDF also find themselves in that ranking. While KDF has fought there way back into the playoffs, they still have a losing record. Picking anyone against T1 right now is just hoping to play ownership leverage and hope you hit the series that T1 flops. An 85% winning percentage in games is insane, T1 isn’t just winning their series, they are dominating them.

ThunderTalk Gaming (TT) vs. JD Gaming (JDG) [-488]

JD Gaming is the hottest team in the LPL right now with a three-match win streak and wins over V5 and LNG in that stretch. Not only wins but 2-0 sweeps in each series and they have won their last six games. JDG is now 8-5 and 20-12 in games, while Thundertalk is just 2-11 and 9-24. Not much to talk about here – JDG is on fire and ThunderTalk has been cold all year. The downside here is how non-competitive this one could be, which could lead to JDG winning easily and not reaching their ceiling.

Damwon Kia (DK) [-283] vs. Nongshim RedForce (NS)

Nongshim has to be the biggest disappointment in each of the LPL and LCK this split as they find themselves at just 4-11. It is true this team dealt with Covid in their program, but they have had their full roster now for two weeks and have seen no improvement or positive results. Nongshim is on a three-match losing streak now losing to KDF, BRO, and DRX. They did beat Damwon when they met back in week two, but despite Damwon’s slight struggles we still have a very strong team when it comes to objective play – their team fighting has been something to build on, but I don’t think Nongshim in their current form posses much of a threat.

Top Esports (TES) [-110] vs. Weibo Gaming (WBG)

This is as about as coin-flip of a matchup as we can get, though it is surprising to see Top Esports as a very slight favorite here. Weibo is 10-2 on the year with a 68% win percentage, while Top is 8-4 and just a 53% win percentage. That being said, Top Esports is on a six-match winning streak here and has been one of the hotter teams in the LPL. Over those six matches, TES has wins over LNG, BLG, EDG, FPX, JDG, and ThunderTalk. So five of the wins are very prestigious victories, though every single one of those five series also went to three games. As I have spoken before, a three-game series can offer us more fantasy points as long as the match you lose is still competitive (you want over 20 fantasy points in your loss to end up benefiting from the third game). Weibo has been a little shakier lately which might sound funny when we state they are 10-2. But a 2-0 loss to RNG and a 2-1 win over LGD have been their last two series. Angel and huanfeng are still the catalysts here for WBG, though Knight and JackeyLove end up being some of the best head-to-head battles in these series. These teams are no strangers, with Weibo (then Suning) holding a 5-4 H2H advantage and the games being just as tight at 13-12.
