(DRX) v.s. Nongshim RedForce (NS) (3:00 AM EST) (-203 DRX)

One of the more one-sided matchups will go underway here with DRX being 4th on a two-game winning streak while NS is on a two-game losing streak. Unfortunately, for NS they were defeated 2-0 already this season by DRX. Deft was the most dominant player for DRX with 16 kills last series in bot-lane (attack-damage carry) and is the highest kill-participator for his team entering this game. Therefore, NS will have to do their best to slow him down so they don’t get shut out again. Also, NS is currently tied at second-worst mid-lane in the league right now at -12.7 which is another problem they must overcome. This sets up DRX pretty well to dominate here in this matchup. The mid and bot-lane mains of NS are both less efficient in slaying than Deft/Zeka which may create a ton of problems for NS and possibly another shut-out.

LGD Gaming (LGD) v.s. Royal Never Give Up (RNG) (4:00 AM EST) (-588 RNG)

A top and bottom tier team in the league will face off here with RNG trying to extend their two-game winning streak. RNG has the advantage, as of now objectively with a 63.3% first-tower rate compared to LGD’s 45.5% which forces LGD’s to rely a lot more on slaying. LGD’s strongest slayer in Eric will be at a disadvantage though (3.3 KDA) versus the opposing bot-laner in GALA (5.7 KDA). Also, the dragon control rate is in favor of RNG (56.2) compared to LGD’s 44.3 rate so LGD may have a difficult time finding an opening. The worst part is RNG’s most efficient slayer isn’t GALA, but xiaohu in mid-lane for RNG which puts more pressure on the other players of LGD since their most relied on slayer may get countered. RNG is also averaging more cspm (average minions/monsters killed) at a 33.7 rate versus LGD’s 31.3 so there should be less stress for them to win battles. That being said, RNG has a really good chance here to continue their win-streak with the slaying/objective edge they have.

Thunder Talk Gaming (TT) v.s. Ultra Prime (UP) (-156 UP)

Two teams near the bottom half of the standings will face off here and both will look to break out of their two-game losing drought. The objective play from both teams isn’t that great with TT having a slight edge in first tower-rate at 26.7% compared to UP’s 25.8%. This makes slaying that much more important and early momentum is extremely close between both teams. TT also has this edge too with a 53.3% first-blood rate versus UP’s 51.6%. The battle of the bot-laners will be crucial here as well with the damage percentages being the exact same for both (Puff of TT– 30.4%, Elk of UP– 30.4%). The overall slaying between both teams is close and this game should come down to the wire.  Since UP has the slightly cs difference per minute at 32.1 compared to TT’s 31.5 they should be able to make up for their tower disadvantage.

DWG Kia (DK) v.s. Gen.G (GEN) (6:00 AM EST) (-164 DK)

The defending champions in DK will conclude the slate against another top team in GEN who is above them one spot in the standings at second. DWG has been running hot though as of late (three-game winning streak) and need to keep this momentum to get revenge from losing to GEN earlier this season. Ruler was one of the more dominant bot-laners in the previous matchup with +20 kills but has not been in the recent lineup for GEN so it will be interesting to see how they adjust. GEN still has the dragon control rate edge of 63% compared to DK’s 56% though so the objective can still potentially go their way. The mid-lane is also another edge GEN can lean on (13.3 rate) versus DK’s 10.4. Chovy would have a really good chance here with the efficiency he’s had in mid-lane (8 KDA), and probably facing the third most-highest damage dealer in ShowMaker the majority of the match. Despite being the most efficient slayer of both teams, Peanut will have more pressure on him in the jungle role since he is dealing the second least damage for GEN. This may cause back and forth conflict between the jungle roles as well with Canyon of DWG also dealing the second least amount of damage for his team. Regardless, this matchup should go all the way to end just like last time and the objective will be even more crucial here so there shouldn’t be a surprise if GEN is able to win yet again.
